Asian Telecom Operator to Launch Joint Mobile Financial Services with Wallet Factory
February 19th, 2019 – Wallet Factory signed a contract for joint development of the business of mobile financial services with the mobile operator in Central Asia. Wallet Factory will act as a provider of the technological solution based on telecom wallet, as well as a partner in developing the product and marketing part of the project. In the first release of the app, the users will be able to pay for goods and services using a smartphone and make money transfers. The launch of the mobile wallet is scheduled for March 2019.
The Asian operator became a fourth mobile operator to introduce a telecom wallet with Wallet Factory. Earlier, Wallet Factory launched similar mobile financial services with Vodafone, Beeline (VEON Group) and NUR Telecom. Wallet Factory is the leading provider of mobile financial services (MFS) solutions in Central and Eastern Europe.
By using a new app, the mobile subscriber will be able to pay for mobile recharge, utilities, banking services, telephony, Internet, TV and games. Payment for the services from a smartphone will be made using the subscriber’s electronic money balance. One of the innovative features of the wallet will be a payment for goods and services using a QR code.
The wallet user will be able to transfer money from wallet to wallet, from card to card, and also to issue an invoice for receiving a transfer. The invoicing feature will allow wallet users to split the bill when paying for various services. The balance of the electronic wallet can be replenished with the subscriber’s balance or with a card.
