zaky: Backend development solution for payment technology provider in MENA
Launched in April 2017, areeba is fully regulated and licensed as a financial institution by the Central Bank of Lebanon. The company is a principal member of the Mastercard and Visa network, and has a strategic partnership with American Express and Discover Global Network. Being a leading payment technology provider in MENA, areeba has recently extended its business reach in the region. To accelerate financial inclusion and drive customer growth, the financial technology company reached out to Wallet Factory seeking a reliable custom-built eWallet solution.
Business needs and requirements
The client shared with us their business vision and strategy aimed at providing better access to financial services across unbanked and underbanked communities in the region. Starting from Lebanon, new financial inclusion initiatives had to be further expanded to neighboring countries like Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt where digital financial services were also an issue for end customers.
To reach that objective, areeba needed a customer-first digital wallet application that would meet the needs of smartphone users in the region. That was exactly where Wallet Factory came into play to help with software app development.
Solution highlights
Fulfilling the clients’ goals, a robust electronic payment processing solution was planned and set into action. With a focus on winning new business and end-customer audiences, the mobile payment app was meant to enable smartphone users and merchants to make and receive digital payments in a smooth and secure way.
